Our students are at the heart of everything we do at Hopwood Hall. Your wellbeing and success are of paramount importance to us.
At Hopwood Hall we put your wellbeing and safety first. Read more about how our dedicated Pastoral, Welfare and Safeguarding Team do this on our Safeguarding & Welfare page. The team are here to keep you safe and ensure that you have the very best experience and really get the most out of your time at college. It’s their job to make sure you are kept safe from abuse or neglect or harm of any sort.
The team supports your progress, performance and personal development. They will help you to make the most of your time at college by giving you support, guidance and lots of encouragement along the way on anything that may be concerning you or affecting your learning or personal life. Just remember that no question is too small and no problem too big, confidential advice and support is what they do best. Learners can access the Hub any time at either campus and speak to a member of the team.
We support you around the clock at Hopwood Hall to ensure that you get the support you need to maintain your mental health and wellbeing.

The iLearn Centres at each campus of Hopwood Hall College offer quiet and comfortable places to study as well as support with technology. At College, there is a lot more emphasis than at school on independent study, and our iLearn Centres give you the space, flexibility and equipment you need to continue your learning outside of the classroom.
There is a wide range of resources available including books, magazines and digital resources, computers, study tables for group work and a silent study zone to promote both shared and individual learning.
The iLearn team are always ready to help you with all types of enquiries, such as how to access the different resources available, help finding material for your assignments and 1-2-1 study help with referencing and other academic skills needed for you to successfully complete your studies. The iLearn Centres are dedicated spaces where you can access guidance and support with completing your work.
As a healthy workplace, we recognise the importance of maintaining a healthy body and mind. That’s why we offer free access to our on-site gym and fitness classes for learners and staff alike.
We give learners the opportunity to guide the direction of our health and wellbeing provision and activities through our student cabinet. This group meets regularly to plan and discuss activities and promotions.
It’s your college, your voice is important to us.
When it comes to Learner Voice, Hopwood Hall is a place where you don’t have to be noisy for your voice to be heard. We encourage you to find your voice and have your say at every opportunity. We value your feedback and do our best to listen and respond to what you say.
Our Student Representatives are a group of learners from each curriculum area across both campuses that are selected to work within the College with senior managers and with external agencies in the community. Each Student Representative has specific responsibilities for an area within the College.
Their main role is to represent the voice of students and to provide a support mechanism for other learners. Our Student Representatives are here for you and work to help improve the College for all future students.
“We think Hopwood Hall College is a great place to study, develop and get involved in really exciting projects and activities throughout the year. We hope that you will enjoy your experience here as much as we do!”
Josh, Student Rep.
