How to Apply
There’s a place for everyone at Hopwood Hall and applying for a course couldn’t be easier. Just follow these simple steps to join us and start an incredible learning experience!
Step 1: Choose a course that works for you
Spend some time exploring the huge range of exciting course options we offer and check the entry requirements. Be sure to book your place at our next open event too as these events give you the perfect opportunity to explore your options, meet our expert tutors and have all your questions answered. It’s a great way of checking out our amazing training facilities too!

Step 2: Complete your online application
Once you’ve settled on the course that best suits you then complete your online application through our website. It’s quick, easy and secure. (NB: print application forms are also available on request if required). Don’t leave it too late, our courses are extremely popular and fill up fast!

Step 3: Your introduction to Hopwood Hall College
After submitting your online application you will then see the confirmation page where you will be asked to select the interview date that best suits you. (NB: We refer to this as an ‘interview’, however, there’s no need to feel apprehensive as this is simply an opportunity for you to meet your tutor and talk through the next steps so that you can be sure that this is the right course for you).
Your interview/introductory session date will be confirmed by email, text and in writing within a week of applying. Be sure to attend your session.
Step 4: Congratulations! Time to accept your offer
Once you’ve attended your interview session then your offer of a place will be confirmed in writing within two weeks. Your level of study will remain conditional upon your GCSE results at the time of enrolment. Please be sure to use the link provided in the offer letter to click through to accept your offer and secure your place.
Step 5: Stay firmly focused on your GCSEs
Work hard to secure the best grades you can and set aside plenty of time for revision.
Step 6: It’s time for your New Starter Experience Session
Once you’ve secured your place you will be invited to register to attend our ‘New Starter Experience’ session. This will be held on Tuesday 2nd July 2024. Look out for your invitation! This is a brilliant opportunity for you to kickstart your Hopwood Hall journey and make certain that you are on the right track. It’s also a chance to get to know your tutors, find your way around campus and start to get to know others that have chosen the same course.
This is also a good point to dip into the resources provided on the Preparing for College page on our website so that you feel more than ready to take your next step and move up to college.
Step 7: Time to enrol!
You will receive a letter confirming your enrolment date and time. At enrolment you’ll be given all the information you need to start your course in September 2024. See you there!
Don’t leave it too late!
We encourage applicants to research their options at our autumn open events and submit their applications as early as possible as our courses fill quickly, so it’s best to secure your place early to avoid disappointment.
