If you haven’t yet achieved your GCSE in English or Maths, then now’s your opportunity to secure these all-important qualifications for free!
You’ll be eligible for these courses if you haven’t already received a grade C/4 in GCSE English Language and/or Maths. The courses are taught on a part-time basis in both the daytime and the evenings at our Rochdale Campus in Greater Manchester.
Proof of a good command of both English and Maths is essential for anyone applying for employment or university. Due to this, it’s essential that you’re able to list these qualifications on your CV.
No matter your age, background or current skill level, we’d love to hear from anyone who’s determined to seize these vital qualifications.
We’ll even work with you to make sure that you’re put in at the right level, with pathways to studying Functional Skills English and Maths for those who would benefit from this route.
Kyrste Thompson, aged 52, achieving amazing results when she returned to study GCSEs in English and Maths. She chose to study the course to future proof her career prospects.
She said: “I’m in my 50s and I was worried that, with the way the industry is at the minute, if I ever got made redundant then I haven’t actually got my GCSEs.
“My son had gone to university and I had a bit of spare time. I thought to myself, ‘you know what, it’s time for me’. I’m going to do it! So I enrolled.”
Mum-of-four Ruth Ojinnaka paved her path to university when she studied GCSEs Maths and English. She refused to let her age stand in her way.
Ruth said:
“Age is nothing. 40 is nothing! Anyone who wants to do it should just go for it. You’ll be glad you did.”
