We know that in our community there’s a massive appetite from adults to learn new skills, gain important qualifications and meet like-minded people because we’ve seen it first hand!
Those who return to education are always thrilled by the experience, but it’s often what they do next that is particularly impressive. We’ve seen people seize a long overdue promotion, start an entirely new career and even launch their own business.
We’ve seen success stories from people of all ages. With our courses being suitable for adults aged 19 to 99+, we’ve welcomed everyone from recent university graduates to great-grandparents onto our many different pathways.
It can be so inspiring to read their stories, especially since many completed different modes of learning and at different stages of their lives. It might even help you to decide which one of our part-time routes is most suited to you and your goals.
Anne chose her course because it was easy to fit around her full-time job and allowed her to explore her passion for art. She found the evening classes very enjoyable and is now eyeing-up the next part-time course that she can do.
“The course is great fun – whether it’s for a career or just to enjoy. Most people are nervous when you meet a bunch of new people, but everyone was there to learn and have fun!”
Kevin was working as a photocopying engineer until he studied his part-time course and turned his side hustle into a fully-fledged business.

Michelle was a mature student, a mum-of-four and had a full-time career when she enrolled to study Access. She’s now using the knowledge she learned every day as she works at the world famous Imperial War Museum.

Salon owner Simon is now ready to take his business to the next level after studying in the evenings to gain those all-important new qualifications.
