Tuesday 4th July 2023 10am - 12.30pmY11 New Starter Experience
Our two campuses capture the vibrant energy of our entire college community while at the same time boasting their own unique flair.
The campus you’re taught at largely depends on your chosen course, but we have no doubt that you’ll love your surroundings and the incredible facilities no matter where your lessons are held.
There’s no better experience than seeing our campuses in person. However, here’s a small glimpse at what you can expect at our sites in Middleton and Rochdale.
Middleton Campus really is one of a kind. Located within 70 acres of sprawling woodland, it’s often said to have a university feel to it.
The heart of the campus is Henry West. It’s where you’ll find our reception, the iLearn Centre, our Careers Zone, the newly renovated Refectory and the trendy social space Henry’s Bistro.
You’ll feel right at home here, with most lessons taking place in one of the buildings surrounding it. You’ll be just a short walk away from our Sports Arena, Hopwood Theatre, laboratories, wildlife enclosures, Technology Centre, and more.
There’s plenty of free parking, as well as a free gym for all our students. In addition, there are picnic benches for those days when you and your new friends want to relax outside and enjoy the warm weather.
Finally, our University Centre is found at our Middleton Campus. However, Higher Education courses are taught across both sites and can be accessed easily from wherever you’re travelling from in Greater Manchester.
You’ll struggle to find a campus better positioned than our site in Rochdale. Located in the heart of the town centre, it both features plenty of parking and is easily accessible by numerous transport links.
It’s also just a stone’s throw away from all the best shops, cafés and restaurants in the borough!
This doesn’t mean that there’s not plenty to enjoy on a campus that features its own reception, the Bistro, iLearn Centre and trendy social space the Cube. The latter is the perfect place to enjoy a game of pool with your course mates between lessons.
Just some of the training facilities you’ll find here include our media editing suites, art workshops, virtual nursery, catering kitchens, and the contemporary Riverside Salon.
Finally, for parents of young children there’s also an on-site nursery, Creche and Co.
Nothing beats seeing our campuses in person. This is why we hold Open Events throughout the year so that you and your family have the opportunity to fully explore our sites and see all the incredible things going on!
We’re constantly making investments to our facilities so that they remain modern spaces with the most cutting edge equipment.
Ahead of our next Open Event, we’d love for you to take our virtual campus tours. These should give you just a flavour of what’s in store when you start your journey at Hopwood Hall!
