The college is based across two campuses in Middleton and Rochdale, both with excellent transport links to the M62 and Greater Manchester area.
Our Middleton campus is an open plan campus nestled in 70 acres of beautiful countryside and woodland which is great for walks. The campus also has a number of grade 2 listed buildings including the original Hopwood Hall which dates back to 1426 and the Hopwood Chapel. The campus is also home to over 500 animals including meerkats, wallabies, alpacas and flamingos as well as a staff allotment if you fancy a bit of veg growing at lunchtime!
Our Rochdale campus is based in the town centre with good access to the local shops and amenities. It’s also great for lunchtime walks along the Rochdale canal. Both sites have ample free parking and subsidised restaurants.
“Hopwood Hall College and University Centre is a place where students, in great facilities and supported by wonderful staff, are able to achieve their full potential and secure a bright future”

“I’m really happy to have returned to work at Hopwood Hall after 13 years, having first joined the college as a graduate and staying for over five years. It feels a bit like coming home.”
Laura Sousa, Marketing Officer
“I have worked at Hopwood for the past ten years teaching English and ICT to our apprentices. I had just found out I was pregnant with my first daughter when I started and she was 10 last December!
“The college have always been supportive of my needs. It is a family orientated college – both my girls love attending the family fun days.”
