T-Level - Supporting the Adult Nursing Team

Are you ready to join the technical revolution that is T-Levels?

This T-Level has been developed in consultation with employers in the health and social care industry to ensure you learn the skills and behaviours that will give you the best opportunity to be successful when applying for work in areas of adult nursing.

It is designed for post-16 students and is an ideal qualification if you are intending to progress directly to employment within the health and social care sector, to an apprenticeship or to further studies.

Healthcare Support Workers work as part of a team providing high quality and compassionate care to individuals. They will carry out well-defined routine clinical duties like monitoring an individual's condition (by checking things like blood pressure, temperature or weight), and checking on their overall progress, comfort and wellbeing.

Your course starts with the essential knowledge and skills to work in health, including how the industry works, core scientific concepts and key regulations including managing information, health and safety, and good scientific/clinical practice.

You will specialise in supporting healthcare and will focus on supporting adult nursing.

In addition, this course features a 45-day (315 hour) work placement and promises to be invaluable for anyone looking to get real-world industry experience.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs at grade C/4 and above including English and Maths.

Work Experience

You will undertake an industry-based work placement consisting of a minimum of 315 hours.

As part of your work placement, the College will support you in completing a DBS application.

Progression

Students who achieve this qualification could progress to the following:

  • Employment

  • Higher Education

  • Apprenticeship (progression onto lower level apprenticeships may also be possible in some circumstances, if the content is sufficiently different)
