T Level - Animal Care and Management

The Animal Care and Management T-Level includes the common core, and a choice of core pathways and occupational specialisms.

The common core introduces the agriculture, environment and animal care industry area and covers knowledge common across all sectors. 

The core pathway content is designed to provide you with a broad knowledge and understanding of the animal sector, whilst also allowing you to develop the core skills needed when working within the industry.

The occupational specialism then equips you with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours necessary for you to progress into occupations within the animal industry or onto higher education. 

All Animal Care and Management learners will complete the common core. You can then choose either the Animal Management core pathway and occupational specialism or the Animal Science core pathway and occupational specialism.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade 6 or above with English Language, Maths and Science to be Grade 6.

Work Experience

You will undertake a 45 day (315 hours) practical work placement in a real-world environment, giving you the opportunity to learn from professionals on-the-job and utilise your new skills and knowledge. This places you in a great position to progress into employment once you complete your T-Level qualification.
