A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above are needed to begin this course, and this needs to include English, Maths, Science and one other academic subject.
Alternative entry requirements to the GCSEs include the BTEC First Diploma at Merit or above.

You will complete 100/200 hours per year depending on the course level.
The first placement will be allocated to you in your first term. You will be visited at your placement by a member of staff.
As part of your work placement, the College will support you in completing a DBS application.
On completion of the course you can progress onto our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, a level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, an HNC or they can go into employment with possible careers such as: Health Professional, Home Carer, Health Care Assistant, Senior Carers, Support Worker, Auxiliary Nurse, Personal Assistant, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist.
