Health, Social Care and Child Care - Level 1 Introduction

This course is designed to introduce learners wishing to develop a career in either the Health and Social Care or the Early Years Sectors. Whilst at the same time developing English, math’s and social skills.

You will gain an understanding of equality and diversity, how to communicate effectively, how to support children and adults, health and safety, the importance of healthy eating and the development of children and young people through play.

Experienced tutors with a wide range of knowledge will be supportive during your course.

Work Experience

A work placement may be required for your course. If this is the case, the College will support you in completing a DBS application.

Progression
Upon completion of this course there are various pathways in either Health & Social Care or Early Years that the learner may chose from as a part time course. Courses to progress onto include either Teaching Assistant Level 2, Early Years Educator Level 2 or Health and Social Care Level 2.
