Team Leading - Level 2 Certificate

Leadership takes many forms, and a good leader can be an influence for a lifetime. This online Level 2 Team Leader course aims to set you up with the skills and confidence to lead effectively, and tackle some of the common challenges in people management.

This qualification will teach you the principles of team leading, how to use different styles of leadership to enhance your team's performance, and how to motivate team members to get the best out of them. This qualification is designed for learners who want the knowledge and understanding required to successfully lead a team.

ATTENDANCE:

This course is delivered on a Flexible Learning basis over a twelve-week period. You will be assigned an assessor who will be able to provide additional help and support if required but all learning will be completed and submitted remotely through an on-line learning platform. Your assessor will provide feedback and advice on all work submitted and will assess your full qualification through to the end of learning.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific prior learning requirements for this qualification. It will be beneficial if you have Level 1 English and feel competent with using IT.

Eligibility:

You must currently live in Greater Manchester
You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study
You must be over the age of 19
You must not be on an apprenticeship

Details

This course is made up of eight units:

Principles of team leading
Understanding business
Understanding how to communicate work-related information
Understanding how to deliver customer service and resolve problems
Understanding how to develop working relationships with colleagues
Introduction to coaching
Introduction to mentoring
Understanding personal development

Work Experience

As this qualification is knowledge only, you do not need to be working or undertaking practical placements to take this qualification. However, if a work placement is a required for your course, the College will support you in completing a DBS application.

Progression

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:
