Level 2 Access To Higher Education

Access courses are designed for students who want a fast track route to university or to progress into careers and vocations that require higher level qualifications. Access courses have featured at Hopwood Hall for many years - changing the lives of many students. We're also proud to say that our achievement and success rates are amongst the best in the country.

Entry Requirements

Entry to the Level 2 programme will require an initial assessment of English and Maths (and science where necessary).

Details

The Level 2 course is up to 16 hours per week (daytime only) for 30 weeks and comprises compulsory GCSE Maths and English (if not already attained at grade C or above) and up to one from the following:

Science
Psychology

Students who have attained a Grade 4/C in English or maths can choose both of the above.

Work Experience

There is no formal work experience requirement for this course.

Progression

Upon completion of the Level 2 course, students can progress onto the Level 3 Access to HE Diploma, with eleven pathways available.
