Immediate entry to the one-year Level 3 Access to HE Diploma offers students who have already attained sufficient GCSE qualifications the quickest route to university. Usually this means students must have attained 4 GCSEs grade A-C/9-4, including English and Maths.
Level 2 equivalents may also be accepted in some circumstances.
Our current, and redesigned, Business, Law and Management Level 3 course is the perfect route into many university degree courses and careers relating to Business, Management and Law – including International Business/Environmental/Intellectual Property/Employment/Contract Law, Finance, Business Management, Consultancy, Marketing, Advertising, Entrepreneurship, Organisational Psychology, Human Resources and many more.
You will be tutored by experienced lecturers, engage in a range of classroom and assessment activities, attend field trips and interact with visiting speakers. Study and other skills will be developed through the course from research methods and referencing to essay and report writing, to giving presentations and producing digital posters.
Assessment is modular – so you will be able to spread submissions over the year, usually completing three assignments every 6 or 7 weeks. Lots of support will be provided to help you find your way back into education if you have been away for a while – which a lot of our students have.
The course is divided into 3 modules - Business, Law and Management and topics include:
BUSINESS MODULE
- Business Ethics
- Business Organisations
- Introduction to Marketing

MANAGEMENT MODULE

The above modules encourage your engagement with a wide range of controversial issues - from the power of the courts and government to the responsibility of businesses to act ethically in relation to employees and climate change.
The Access programme requires attendance for 14 hours per week over 34 weeks. Level 3 students can, in some cases, combine evening with day time study depending on their chosen pathway.
There are no formal work experience requirements on this course.
The Access to HE Diploma offers students a way to gain the qualifications needed to enter Higher Education and gain a degree, helping them to enter their chosen career.
