A variety of assessment methods will be used to develop relevant skills in preparation for a career in the media broadcast and production sector including Individual and group projects, essays, presentations and two examinations. The qualification overall is assessed as follows:
- An employer set project
- Two externally set exam papers
- A range of assignments, live briefs and project work
As part of your T-level you will undertake a minimum of 315 hours of work experience alongside your studies. Your placement can be completed with 1 or a maximum of 2 different employers. The experience will allow you to develop the necessary skills for your chosen industry and will enable you to become competent in the required career skillset to ensure you are able to begin your career with confidence.
A key feature of the T-Level is it enables you to access multiple progression pathways. The Media Content Creation T-level is equivalent to 3 A levels. Upon completion of your T-level you will be able to choose from a range of progression routes such as a Higher National Diploma in Film and TV at Hopwood Hall College & University Centre or onto other Universities, Apprenticeships or Employment.
If your employer wants to hire you during your placement you can finish your Level 3 studies as an apprentice. Upon completing your T-Level, if you want a higher apprenticeship then you are able to apply for a Level 4 apprenticeship standard. If you just want to begin working, you will be able to pursue a career as a junior in the following career pathways.
