- 4 GCSEs grade C/4 or above to include English and Mathematics.
- BTEC/NVQ/VRQ Level 2 qualification including grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English.
This course is taught by a mix of practical sessions and classroom teaching, ensuring students are given sufficient theoretical knowledge to support their projects, activity and studies.
All staff have a great deal of work experience delivering excellent teaching standards combined with a vital understanding on how the Media industry works. This allows students to unlock potential work experience or employment in the Media.

There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course however there is a practical element. Students can work with clients to develop video content followed by a professional brief of what the client has requested. This allows our students to get a first-hand view of working with clients in the Media industry.
Upon completion of this course, students have a number of options to choose from. If they wish to continue their studies, this course provides UCAS points in the range of 120-360 – which can help with entry to higher education or provide enough on its own depending on the degree/course chosen and institution.
For other students, it will be time to enter employment with possible careers such as: Film and TV producer, cameraman, editor, sound recording, DJ/ radio presenter, researcher, runner, studio technician, lighting engineer and location work.
