What would you like to study?
Level 3 Combustion Performance Analysis

The Combustion Performance Analysis (CPA1) course is a core component of the CPA1 qualification, essential for gas engineers and heating professionals. It focuses on the understanding and use of flue gas analysers to measure and analyse gases in the air or flue-ways, ensuring appliances like boilers, cookers, and heaters are operating safely and efficiently.

Through this course, learners will gain insights into flue gas analysis, including the detection and measurement of gaseous particles such as carbon dioxide and oxygen. They will also learn to assess combustion quality, measure oxygen levels, and evaluate the overall operational efficiency of appliances.

A key focus is carbon monoxide safety, where learners will understand the dangers and health impacts of carbon monoxide. The course will also cover how to ensure appliances are not emitting dangerous levels of this harmful gas, maintaining safety and compliance with industry standards.
