Hopwood Hall College employs approximately 450 staff in both teaching and learning and support services. Staff are based at either our Middleton or Rochdale campus.

Lecturer - Health & Social Care
The College is looking for a high quality part-time Lecturer to take an active role in the delivery of quality programmes within the Health & Social Care curriculum area. Closing Date: 11th July 2018
Assessor - Plumbing
The postholder will be based within Training@Hopwood and will be expected to assess a caseload of Apprentices accessing the College's Level 2 & Level 3 Plumbing frameworks. This vacancy is open-ended and application will be reviewed as they come in.
To support the training and assessment of the college's engineering apprenticeship programmes. These will include Performing Engineering Operations (Fabrication and Welding and Machining) , Welder Level 2 Standard and Engineering Technician Level 3 Standard (Machinist Advanced Manufacturing). This vacancy is open-ended and applications will be reviewed as they come in.
Apprentice - Senior Management Support
The position is based in a senior management office and duties include diary management, room bookings, hospitality bookings and administrative support for the principal, vice principals and senior directors. The role is part of a wider team called the Student & College Services team, who service receptions, switchboard, enrolment, admissions, financial support, general administration and stationery duties. The college is looking for a qualified Functional Skills Lecturer. The role is a full time, fixed term contract covering maternity leave teaching English and ICT to apprentices. This vacancy is open-ended and applications will be reviewed as they come in.
Lecturer - Carpentry and Joinery
The College is recruiting for a Lecturer to teach Carpentry and Joinery courses up to Level 3. The course they teach will run from the new Academic Year 2018/19. Teaching Assistant (Various Roles)
The College requires Teaching Assistants in various roles across the Curriculum to work with academic staff in dedicated areas. This will be to support behaviour management and engagement of learners on all aspects of their study programmes. We need people who can meet their learning needs in academic, vocational and life skills development. This would include in class and out of class support to remove barriers to accessing learning and participation. We also need people who are able to implement agreed learning support for individuals and groups, with a view to encourage learner independence using identified support strategies. Security Officer
The College seeks to provide an enhanced security service with 3 new roles. The key purpose of the role is to protect college assets from malicious damage or theft, including supporting business continuity management. Maintaining the welfare of all persons on-site by preventing unauthorised access and managing difficult situations, such as student behaviour. Desirable candidate may have an SIA Licence, Conflict Management & Use of Force and NVQ L2 in Providing Security Services. Closing Date: 22nd July 2018
Learning Support Officer (7x Roles)
The College is seeking 7x Learning Support Officers, working 30 hours per week, Term Time Only, 40 weeks per year. We would need them to be the key point of contact between curriculum area and the Learning Support Team for area of responsibility for leaners with a range of additional and learning needs. They should meet the needs of learners with identified Learning Difficulties and / or Disabilities including in class and out of class support and sensory support to remove barriers to accessing learning and participation. The College requires two Learning Support Coordinator’s to support the Learning Support Manger in line managing and deploying a team of Learning Support Assistants and organizing the recruitment, induction and training of staff. They will oversee timetabling of staff to assist students who have been identified as benefiting from in-class and examination support due to a Special Educational Need and/or Disability.
