Hopwood Hall College employs approximately 450 staff in both teaching and learning and support services. Staff are based at either our Middleton or Rochdale campus.

Facilities Operative (Site Caretaker)

General duties will include opening and locking up the campus, to carry out general maintenance repairs and porterage duties. Full details in job description. Work Based Tutor - Carpentry & Joinery
Hopwood Hall College is seeking to recruit a highly competent and knowledgeable Carpentry and Joinery (Site) Work based tutor, to join our Apprenticeship Team. We are looking for a candidate who has had a number of years industry experience and someone who holds a sector specific qualification up to Level 3. The successful candidate will be required to carry out workplace coaching and assessments, reviews and set action plans for apprentices, including SMART Targets. They will be required to support the curriculum teaching of the Carpentry and Joinery qualifications at Levels 2 & 3 and will be capable of sharing their knowledge with our apprentices that demonstrates their passion for the subject. They will also need the skills to coach the apprentices through their end point assessment. Ideally suitable candidates will hold a recognised assessment qualification ((TAQA, A1, or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one) and be confident in all aspects of workplace assessment using an electronic portfolio system. Current IQA experience (V1) would be desirable. Closing Date: 9th November 2020

We are looking for a candidate who has had a number of years industry experience and someone who holds a sector specific qualification up to Level 3. (One or more of the following - Carpentry & Joinery, Brickwork, Plastering or Painting and Decorating) The successful candidate will be required to carry out workplace coaching and assessments to support the property Maintenance Standard, reviews and set action plans for apprentices, including SMART Targets. They will be required to support the curriculum teaching of the Property Maintenance qualifications at Levels 2 and will be capable of sharing their knowledge with our apprentices that demonstrates their passion for the subject. They will also need the skills to coach the apprentices through their end point assessment. Ideally suitable candidates will hold a recognised assessment qualification ((TAQA, A1, or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one) and be confident in all aspects of workplace assessment using an electronic portfolio system.
