Hopwood Hall College have an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher/ trainer assessor to join our Quality Team to drive forward Teaching, Learning and assessment within the Apprenticeship department. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate consistent high standards of quality within the delivery of apprenticeship frameworks and new standards. Reporting to the Head of Quality you will work together and alongside the apprenticeship department to ensure Quality improvement plans are designed appropriately and progress is monitored regularly to continually improve teaching, learning and assessment. The successful candidate will be driven, forward-thinking and dedicated to getting the very best outcomes for every apprentice. Experience of working in a teaching and learning role within further education is essential. They will have a proven track record of being an outstanding practitioner as well as previous experience in the development of strategies and resources to support quality improvement. The post will suit an outstanding individual who has the ability to motivate staff in an effective way and who possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. We are currently seeking a full-time lecturer in mechanical engineering & fabrication. Industrial experience is essential and experience in CAD would be desirable. The right candidates must be competent in the delivery of practical based lessons and BTEC Extended Diploma. The college is seeking an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic lecturer to join the well established Animal Management team. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering on Technial Animal Care programmes at Level 2 and Level 3. You should be an excellent classroom practitioner who is able to deliver inspiring and challenging teaching and learning and have up to date industry knowledge that can be used to enhance your delivery and provide realistic work related experiences.
IT Support Apprentice
Duties To provide 1st / 2nd line technical support for all network connected hardware and software including: Supporting an infrastructure including:- VDI, Desktop PC / Thin Clients, Backups, Wi-Fi, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Servers and other IT peripherals. Deliver an outstanding IT service that is highly customer focused, responding to requests for support in line with department service level agreement.
We are recruiting Learning Support Assistant's on 16 hour contracts for the academic year. The post holder will be required to meet the needs of learners with identified Learning Difficulties and / or Disabilities including in class and out of class support to remove barriers to accessing learning and participation. Student Support Tutor
To be responsible for supporting the retention, progress, achievement and progression of a cohort of learners through group tutorials and additional one to one reviews were required. To also provide support through themes including employability, personal development, social and welfare. We have full time and part time roles available. Closing date: 28th January 2019.
Work Based Tutor Business Services
We are looking for a qualified individual who has worked in one or more of the following sectors; Business Admin, Customer Service, IT or Team Leader. Full training will be provided within the post based on the successful candidates experience thus far.
Training@Hopwood is a team within the College dedicated to delivering work-based training and programmes for the employed and unemployed. The post holder will be an active member of the team and develop their own skills based and practical work experience through the provision of support to all areas of the team. Cleaning Operative
Evening cleaning operative role to work at the Middleton Campus hours 4-8pm. Successful candidate will be working to diligently undertake, individually or as part of a team, the cleaning of premises owned or leased by the college, to the specified standards and room specifications in order to deliver a clean and hygienic working and learning environment.
