Equine Care

If you’ve got a passion for all things horses, then you won’t find a better course than Equine Care at Hopwood Hall. The pathway will make for an exciting journey that’s always fascinating and compelling – while at the same time moving you closer to your dream career!

The courses are taught at our Middleton Campus in Greater Manchester, where we home more than 500 animals. Many of these are categorised as endangered species and can scarcely be found elsewhere in the UK.

In addition, we’ve partnered with local riding schools where you’ll go to get practical experience working with the animals you love.

You’ll be no stranger to the great outdoors, where you’ll quickly become friendly with our growing number equestrian animals. These majestic creatures will no doubt come to trust and adore you as you prove yourself capable of managing all aspects of their care.

The knowledge you gain on the course will be nurtured in all sorts of ways, including through our brand new state-of-the-art eventing simulator. This amazing piece of fully interactive equipment allows you to do everything from true-to-life Grand Prix dressage movements (such as Piaffe and Passage) to jumping grid work or negotiating technical combinations on the cross-country course.

Finally, you’ll be learning from our expert tutors who have worked in zoos across the world. This truly promises to give you the best grounding as you forge your own path into a career working with animals.
