Cathy Berry

Cathy commences as a Governor at Hopwood Hall College and Member of the Audit Committee on 1 September 2018. Her qualifications include a BSc Hons Computing & Information Technology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Cathy is a former student of Hopwood Hall College where she gained her HNC Business & Finance qualification. She is currently studying towards WBIS (Work Based and Integrative Studies) Masters in Managing & Leading Organisational Learning & Development.

Cathy is the Vocational Team Business & Quality Manager with the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust having previously gained experience as an Assessor/Tutor/ Internal Quality Assessor (IQA) and Lifelong Learning Sessional Tutor in Information & Communications Technology (ICT). She also has extensive experience in Managing IT in Manufacturing (UK & International).

Cathy is passionate about the training & development of young people in the workplace and her aims for Hopwood Hall College are to support the young people of Rochdale to successfully develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed in the modern workplace, enabling them to make positive contributions to our community.
