Health and Social Care

Train for a career where you make a real difference.

At Hopwood Hall College, you’ll develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to work in health and social care. You’ll learn through a mix of theory and practical experience, preparing you for real roles in the sector.

You’ll study in our simulated hospital ward at the Middleton campus, using advanced resources including VR technology, simulation manikins and digital tools like the Anatomage table. This gives you hands-on experience in a setting that reflects real healthcare environments.

Our tutors bring experience from across the sector and will support you throughout your course, helping you build your understanding of areas such as human biology, mental health, safeguarding and public health.

You’ll also benefit from work placement opportunities with healthcare providers, giving you valuable experience and helping you build your professional portfolio.

By the time you finish, you’ll have the practical skills and knowledge to progress into health and social care roles or further study.
