T Level - Education (Assisting Teaching)

Are you ready to join the technical revolution that is T-Levels?

This programme is specifically designed to fulfil your passion of working within the Education and Early Years sector. You will learn the core knowledge and skills that underpin a variety of jobs across the sector such as early years education, teaching and supporting the development of children and young people.

This T-Level programme has been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares you for work. You will build on your English, Maths and Digital skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable you to work within this exciting and dynamic sector. It will give you access to employment or higher education.

In addition, this course features 750 hours work placement, which is a mandatory requirement of the course and invaluable for industry experience. 

This course is taught at our Rochdale campus, located in Rochdale Town Centre, Greater Manchester.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSE passes (Grade 4 or above), including English and Maths.

Details

As part of the T-Level in Early Years (in Year 1), you will take part in an Employer Set Project, two external core paper exams (May & June) and you will be monitored and assessed in work placement.

During Year 2, you will have one invigilated external exam, two exam condition assessments in college and three assessments in the workplace.

Work Experience

An industry placement will ensure you have the chance to put into practice the skills, knowledge & behaviours you are studying in the classroom. 
Work placement requirement is 750 hours over two years.

As part of your work placement, the College will support you in completing a DBS application.

You can also use this T-Level to do a related higher-level apprenticeship or degree course.
