4 GCSEs Grade 3 and above to include English and Maths.
You will study subjects including:

- Safeguarding, Protection and Welfare of Babies and Young Children
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Practice
- Child Development
- Care Routines for Babies and Young Children
- Planning and Delivery of Activities
- Supporting Children with SEN and Disability
- Promoting Positive Behaviour
- Partnership Working Preparing Children for School
This will support development of your skills, knowledge and behaviours working within an Early Years setting.
These qualifications require learners to complete a mandatory work/industry placement experience throughout the duration of the qualification before certification. A requirement of a minimum of 6 hours placement a week in a suitable setting with children aged 0-5yrs.
These qualifications allow a learner to count towards the Level 2 ratio as a qualified Level 2 Early Years Practitioner within the Early Years workforce.
Learners who achieve these qualifications may work under supervision in a variety of roles, including:
- Early Years Practitioner
- Classroom Assistant
- Pre-school Practitioner
