Preparing to work in the Hair and Beauty Industry

This Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector qualification can open doors to a wide variety of roles in the hairdressing, barbering, make-up and beauty industry. As well as learning practical skills, you will work on developing your employability, personal and social skills.

This course is taught at our Rochdale campus, located in Rochdale Town Centre, Greater Manchester.

You will cover the below cover units and learn a range of skills to prepare you for further learning in the hair and beauty sector:

Introduction to the hair and beauty sector
Presenting a professional image in a salon
Skin care
Hand care
Hair plaiting

Work Experience

You will complete work experience in various workplace settings with the rest of your group and tutor.

Progression

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto Level 1 Hairdressing or Level 1 Beauty Therapy.
