4 GCSEs grade C/4 or above to include English or Maths. You will also have had to complete a Level 2 Diploma in Barbering to gain the required skills and knowledge to begin the Level 3 Certificate.
This course is taught by a mix of classroom teaching followed by practical sessions to demonstrate understanding of key hairdressing principles. All level 3 students should spend a vast proportion of their time working in industry with clients to enable them to fully develop their skills and prepare them for either employment or higher education.
All staff have a great deal of experience within this area and deliver excellent teaching standards which allows students to unlock their potential and gain valuable practical skills and knowledge.

- Creative drying and styling
- Fashion cutting
- Creative cutting
- Creative coloring
- Colour correction in Barbering.
Level 3 students will have the opportunity to work with their own clientele in the Riverside Salon, offering a range of barbering techniques, a minumum of 35 hours external experience is also mandatory.
Upon completion of this course, students have the option to progress onto higher education, further training or find employment as a hairdresser, barber, stylist or salon manager.
