The course is great fun - whether it’s for a career or just to enjoy. Most people are nervous when you meet a bunch of new people, but everyone was there to learn and have fun!
Entry Requirements
An interest in the subject area is essential as well as a good level of English. If English is not your first language you will need to be at a minimum of ESOL level 1.
Details
You will be assessed by your tutor through practical beauty therapy tasks and online tests or assignments. The units studied include:
- Working in the beauty industry
- Health and safety
- Client care and communication
- Facial skin care
- Manicure treatments
- Pedicure treatments
You will develop your skills on class peers and then you will carryout your assessments on live clients in a realistic salon environment.
Work Experience
Not mandatory but a placement in a beauty salon would support your learning and help to improve skills and confidence.
Progression
This qualification gives you the skills and knowledge to work in industry or to progress onto Level 3 Beauty Therapy.
