If you’ve always been fascinated by cars, then you are the perfect person to study the Level 1 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
This course is taught at our Middleton Campus in Middleton, Greater Manchester. In particular, it’s located in our state-of-the-art Advanced Engineering and Technology Centre.

Our Motor Vehicle workshop is one of the most impressive parts of the facility, giving you access to all the tools and machinery that you need as you start building a skillset in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Under the guidance of our expert tutors who have worked in the industry themselves, you’ll develop a basic understanding of areas such as engines, brakes and transmission systems.
This will then lead to further study opportunities, including the chance to progress onto the Level 2 qualification.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSE at grade 2 or above including Maths and English.

There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course. However, the motor vehicle workshop is designed to replicate a garage environment and will allow you to feel comfortable in a professional setting.
Progression
Following completion of the course, you will be able to progress onto a Level 2 qualification.
You will also be able to pursue alternative opportunities if you prefer, including an apprenticeship or a traineeship.
