Electrical Installations - Level 1 Award

This course has been designed to give both practical hands on skills and an understanding of the electrical industry with some health and safety for the construction industry also included. The course is for: Homeowners DIY enthusiasts Maintenance people and individuals looking to take the first steps towards a career in the electrical industry.

This course runs for 12 weeks, 3 hours per week, on a Tuesday evening 5.30-8.30pm.

The course is a practical based course which covers Basic Wiring Skills Clipping/ Wire stripping Cable sizing System design and terminations Safe isolation Basic house designing 1 way and 2 way lighting systems Ring and radial circuits Trunking/ conduit and cable protection Safety testing using test equipment

This course could lead you to coming onto a full time Electrical course if this is something you enjoy or as a start for you to look at entering the industry as an apprentice dependant on your English and Maths Grades.
