Apprentices can look forward to honing their skillset in our newly extended Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Centre located at our Middleton Campus in Middleton, Greater Manchester. This state-of-the-art facility has recently undergone a multi-million-pound investment to ensure it remains one of the leading training centres in the country.
Through working in this cutting-edge space, apprentices will have access to all the newest and most advanced equipment and machinery. This will mean they’re able to establish a modern skillset that’s highly sought-after across the industry.
In addition, apprentices will benefit from being taught by expert tutors who have years of industry experience. This will mean they can take advantage of learning from those who have used their skills and knowledge in professional environments and have that valuable added insight into the trade.

Entry Requirements
English and Maths GCSEs at Grades 2/E and above or equivalent are essential.
Individual employers may have their own higher entry requirements.

The Fitted Interiors Installer apprenticeship is a Level 2 programme designed to give you the practical skills and technical knowledge to install kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and other fitted furniture, and to tackle commercial shopfitting projects.
You’ll learn how to read drawings, use hand and power tools safely, and carry out high-quality installations across both domestic and commercial settings.
This apprenticeship combines practical experience with theoretical knowledge, preparing you for a dynamic role in fitted interior installations.
What you'll learn and do:
- Install fitted furniture components
- Interpret drawings and specifications
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Customer service communication
End Point Assessment:
Your skills will be tested through:
- A multiple-choice test covering technical knowledge
- A practical observation of on-site installation tasks
- A professional discussion to reflect on your learning and performance
Successful completion can earn you a pass, merit, or distinction grade, setting you up for a bright future in the construction industry.
Dates/Lengths:
Typically, 18 months (prior experience, or relevant qualifications may be recognised and potentially shorten the duration of this apprenticeship).
The next start date for this Apprenticeship will be September 2025. You will attend college for 4, one week long, practical blocks and 2 KIT days at our Middleton campus.
Work Experience
As part of the apprenticeship there is a dedicated off the job learning requirement. This is a minimum of 6 hours per week for the duration of the apprenticeship. This could include:

- Observing colleagues
- Receiving mentoring
- Shadowing
- Training
Programme Development:
- Teaching or learning the theory related to their roles
- Coursework
