Green Summit 2025
This year our Green Summit takes place from Tuesday 1st April to Thursday 3rd April. It will be a three-day celebration of sustainability in which our entire college community will come together to promote environmentalism and the different ways that we can all protect the natural world.
There will be a wide range of exiting activities and initiatives for students to take part in during the Green Summit. These will be held across both our campuses in Middleton and Rochdale – so there’s loads of opportunities to be involved and play your part in celebrating sustainability!
Below are just a select number of activities taking place:
- Sustainable start-up challenge judged my employers
- Special guest speakers, such as King’s Award winner Richard Hagan
- Launch of our student-led green society ‘Green Beans’
- TechFest
- Planet Earth games, supporting climate action through sport
- Interactive, green-focused PACE sessions
- Stands and stalls at both campuses
- Bike maintenance sessions led by Your Trust (Tuesday 12pm-2pm, Middleton & Wednesday 12pm-2pm, Wednesday)
- Tree planting with the Woodland Trust
- Upcycling projects
- Litter picking
- Bottle recycling
- Fruit and vegetable planting
- Special day trips
- Creating eco-friendly beauty products
- Refurbing planters and benches on our beautiful campuses
- Supply chain sustainability school
