4 GCSEs grade D/3 or above including English and mathematics.
If you have not attained GCSE grades 4-9 in English and Maths, you will automatically be enrolled in classes to work towards these qualifications at an appropriate level to suit your ability.
These courses have been developed to meet the expanding employment opportunities within the Sports and Fitness industries including: health and fitness facilities, coaching/teaching, professional sport and performance. This course includes a combination of practical and written assignments with no examination.

Organising sports events
Injury in sport
There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course however, you will obtain the skills and knowledge that you need in order to progress into employment in the Sports industry.
Upon completion of this course students can progress onto the Level 3 Sport qualification where they will learn at a higher level and attain a higher value qualification.
You may wish to pursue employment after this course. If so, this qualification can allow access to roles such as coaching, leisure work and sport development.
