You’ll master the basics in our specialist Plumbing workshop, where you’ll spend your days developing your skillset through a hands-on learning approach. From understanding how to use the tools to improving your eye for detail, you’ll quickly pick up the basics of the trade.
You can look forward to working with our expert tutors who themselves have worked in the industry. They’ll teach you valuable skills such as how to deal with common plumbing processes and scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing.
Once you have completed the course you’ll be in the ideal position to progress onto a Level 2 qualification.

Central heating systems
Health and safety in building services
Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
Sanitation and drainage systems
Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering
Understand how to communicate with others within building services
Students will also attend tutorial sessions on a weekly basis where topics to develop employability skills will be covered.
Work Experience
There is no specific work experience required for this course however there is a strong practical element.
Progression
You can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing, any other Level 2 course in building trades or an apprenticeship.
