There are no formal entry requirements needed to begin this course.
If you have not attained GCSE grades 4-9 in English and Maths you will automatically be enrolled in classes to work towards these qualifications at an appropriate level to suit your ability.
A ‘work hard play hard’ ethos is expected of all students and a balanced approach to the sporting/academic demands of the programme is essential.
Our Football Academy is run by a qualified, highly respected and professional coach. We have developed a unique training programme which combines the Football Academy with a diploma in sport and includes specialist advice on nutrition, sports therapy, sports psychology, skills development plus organising and preparing to coach a range of sporting events.
**Dependent upon timetables, the Football Academy may be studied alongside other courses in the college – with the diploma being credited to that specific chosen area.**

There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course however, you will obtain the skills and knowledge that you need in order to progress into a career in the football/sports industry.
Following the completion of this course, you are able to progress onto any level 2 qualification, including the Level 2 Women's Football Certificate.
