If you have a passion and talent for football then this is the place for you. The Women’s Football Academy at Hopwood Hall has outstanding on site facilities and we are now delighted to have entered into a unique new partnership with Paris St-Germain Academy England.

Paris Saint-Germain Academy England is dedicated to developing players of all abilities. Fitness, health, wellbeing and nutrition are fundamental parts within the Academy. Each coach is specially trained in the Paris Saint-Germain methodology so that our students learn the PSG way! The sessions are devised by the club’s technical staff and follow the Paris Saint-Germain playing philosophy, while adapting the position and level of each player.

As a student at Hopwood Hall College you become part of the Paris Saint-Germain family and will play the same way as the youth and first team setup in Paris. The goal of the partnership is to not only develop the football players but also ensure that each individual’s educational targets are achieved.

At the Paris Saint-Germain Academy at Hopwood Hall you can expect to be taught by qualified, highly respected, professional coaches who know how to bring out the best in you and who aim to increase the numbers of women playing football professionally.

The course is taught at our Middleton campus, located in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements needed to begin this course.

If you have not attained GCSE grades 4-9 in English and Maths you will automatically be enrolled in classes to work towards these qualifications at an appropriate level to suit your ability.

Details

A ‘work hard play hard’ ethos is expected of all students and a balanced approach to the sporting/academic demands of the programme is essential.

Our Football Academy is run by a qualified, highly respected and professional coach. We have developed a unique training programme which combines the Football Academy with a diploma in sport and includes specialist advice on nutrition, sports therapy, sports psychology, skills development plus organising and preparing to coach a range of sporting events.

**Dependent upon timetables, the Football Academy may be studied alongside other courses in the college – with the diploma being credited to that specific chosen area.**

•   Organising sports events
•   Injury in sport

Work Experience

There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course however, you will obtain the skills and knowledge that you need in order to progress into a career in the football/sports industry.

Progression

Following the completion of this course, you are able to progress onto any level 2 qualification, including the Level 2 Women's Football Certificate.
