Entry Requirements
There are no specific prior learning requirements for this qualification. It will be beneficial if you have Level 1 English and feel competent with using IT.
Eligibility:
- You must currently live in England
- You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study
- You must be over the age of 19
- You must not be on an apprenticeship
Details
This course is made up of five units:
- Safeguarding the welfare of childrena nd young people
- Introductory awareness of sensory play
- Importance of play for early learning
- Use food and nutrition infomration to plan a healthy diet
- The value of play to young children
This course is well suited to a career in social work, youth work or foster care.
Work Experience
As this qualification is knowledge only, you do not need to be working or undertaking practical placements to take this qualification. However, if a work placement is a required for your course, the College will support you in completing a DBS application.
