Ian Ruff

Ian has worked for over 35 years in Northwest England in senior skills and economic development roles including at the Northwest Regional Development Agency, Learning and Skills Council and Skills Development Agency. 

He has also worked for the Greater Manchester Colleges Group (GMCG) developing collaborative programmes to meet the skills needs of local businesses, individuals and communities. This role gave him an in-depth understanding of current College challenges and opportunities.

Ian remains passionate about promoting and supporting the contribution of further education in Greater Manchester and beyond.
