It’s open! College unveils industry-leading facility with special cutting of the ribbon

Hopwood Hall College hosted a special cutting of the ribbon as it officially opened its latest cutting edge facility.

The small outdoor ceremony saw students, staff and governors gather to celebrate the completion of the new Multi Skills Training Centre.

The building – located on the 70-acre Middleton Campus – will provide the perfect location for the college to deliver the highest quality of training for learners studying Multi Skills.

It is fully equipped for students to hone their craft in a range of timeless trades, including brickwork, carpentry, joinery and many more.

Clive Reid, Vice Chair of Governors, cut the ribbon and unveiled a sparkling new plaque at the front of the building.

The training centre was then ready to welcome learners immediately – with the first lesson starting just 15 minutes later.

The refurbished building is part of a larger investment scheme being rolled out at Hopwood Hall.

Over the course of just five years the college is investing £24m through its Estates Strategy to ensure it continues to provide industry-leading facilities for its students.

The Multi Skills Training Centre was unveiled ahead of the college’s upcoming Industry Week, taking place from December 7 – 11.
