Hopwood Hall College earns MP’s vote to train his new apprentice

Hopwood Hall College will be providing training for a new apprenticeship that boasts a parliamentary flair. 

The Business Administrator Apprentice role will see the successful candidate working in the office of Heywood and Middleton MP Chris Clarkson. 

Mr Clarkson – who was elected to represent the constituency in 2019 – personally reached out to the college and its Employer Services team to ensure the training took place at Hopwood Hall. 

He cited the college’s reputation for ‘championing the skills agenda’ as the driving force behind his choice. 

The position is now live and applications are welcome from anyone who is ready to gain an ambitious skillset as they work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.  

The role includes duties such as assisting with casework, monitoring media coverage and attending surgeries.  

It will also involve creating content for the MP’s various social media platforms and website. 

Hopwood Hall College has a strong record for increasing people’s career prospects and has trained more than 850 apprentices since 2017/2018. 

This year alone the college has provided expert training for 229 apprenticeships across its campuses in Middleton and Rochdale.
