- If you have not attained GCSE grades 4-9 in English and Maths you will automatically be enrolled in classes to work towards these qualifications at an appropriate level to suit their ability.
This course is taught by a mix of practical sessions and classroom teaching, ensuring you are given sufficient theoretical knowledge to support your projects, activity, and studies.
All staff have a great deal of work experience delivering excellent teaching standards combined with a vital understanding of how the esports and Games industry works. This allows you to unlock potential work experience or employment in the Media.

Work experience is utilised in the format of students undertaking live briefs relating to branding, advertising, self-promotion, and video production. You will also gain opportunities to compete in local and national gaming competitions.
The Pearson BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Esports and Games has a primary focus on progressing to further education when taken with other qualifications at L2. If you are taking this qualification, you may want to progress to further study such as Pearson BTEC Level 3 Nationals in Esports, Information Technology, UAL L3 Extended Diplomas in Games Development, Creative Media, Sport and Graphic Design. Successful completion of this qualification could also lead to being fully prepared to progress to an apprenticeship in the related sector, for example, in events, digital marketing or creative media for example.
