Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations - 2382-26

This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to understand the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671 including AMD 2 2022). Holding this qualification is a requirement for joining a competent person scheme.

Book required - BS7671+A2 (brown book). All student must bring this book when on campus.

This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations. This course is also suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

Entry Requirements

You must have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical theory and science principles. Book Required - BS:7672 18thEdition Regulations AMD 2 (brown book).

Units on this course inlcude:

Understand the scope, object and fundamental principles of BS7671
Understand the definitions used within BS7671
Understand how to assess the general characteristics of electrical installations
Understand requirements of Protection for safety for electrical installations
Understand the requirements for Selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations
Understand the requirements of Inspection and testing of electrical installations
Understand the requirements of special installations or locations as identified in BS 7671
Prosumers installations and Understand the information contained within the appendices of BS7671.
