Warehouse Operatives play a vital role across a wide range of industries, including Logistics, Retail, Manufacturing, Automotive, Construction, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, and even services within the MOD.

They work in warehouses of all sizes; from smaller 5,000 sq ft units to large-scale distribution centres over 1 million sq ft. These environments may be temperature-controlled and use advanced storage systems, including automated and robotic handling equipment. Many operations also include outdoor storage areas.

Most warehouses rely on mechanical handling equipment (such as forklifts and pallet trucks) and digital Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track stock, manage orders, and keep operations running efficiently. Handheld scanners are often used to identify products and locations in real time.
