English and Maths GCSE's grades 4/C or above or equivalent. Individual employers may have their own higher entry requirements.
On an apprenticeship programme, apprentices will learn and develop a range of knowledge, skills and behaviours. These include:
- Property asset management with fixed assets and implementing building maintenance
- Service delivery, ensuring the delivery of provision is the required standard
- Compliance
- Ensuring management systems are efficiency to report and act on performance
- Develop and implement delivery plans relating to policy implementation and change management
- Motivate, manage and develop people management plans
- Manage financial and procurement management
End Point Assessment:
The employer and training provider will formally signoff the apprentice’s readiness for the independent End Point Assessment (EPA) at ‘gateway’.
Gateway is the point at which the apprentice has met and can confidently apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours required, as detailed within the apprenticeship standard.
The end-point assessment will sample sufficiency of knowledge, skills and behaviours across the standard. The end-point assessment (EPA) will contain the following components which will form the final assessment:
- Facilities Management work-based project
- Presentation
- Professional discussion with a panel based on the portfolio and reflective log
As part of the apprenticeship there is a dedicated off the job learning requirement. This is a minimum of 6 hours
per week for the duration of the apprenticeship. This could include:
Role Development:
- In class delivery
- Online learning e.g. webinars, blended learning
- Manufacture training
- Practical training
- Receiving mentorship
Programme Development:
- Teaching or learning the theory related to the role
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you can:
- Promotion in your organisation
- Progress onto a range of higher-level qualifications
