Course Description
This course is aimed at practitioners and students who are interested in working with children and can provide an appropriate pathway for gaining Early Years Teaching Status (EYTS).
You will develop your independent thinking, analytical and communication skills and this will help you become a clear and confident writer. The course is run in partnership with the University of Bolton and is available on a 2-year full time or 3-year part time route.
This programme is aimed at individuals who have an interest in developing the knowledge and skills for working with children aged 0-8 years.

Fees: £6000 per year full-time (total course cost £12000 2 years full-time). £4000 per year part-time (total course costs £12000 3 years part-time).
There is no charge for a DBS for all students undertaking volunteer work placement.

- 2 or more A Levels
- BTEC/Edexcel National Level 3
- Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Educator) or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator)
- GCSE English and maths at Grade C/4 or above
Mature
students can apply with no formal qualifications but with a minimum of three
years relevant
industry experience. A formal literacy diagnostic and comprehension assessment
will be required to assess academic capability.

Work Experience
Employment or work placement with children aged 0-8 years is a mandatory requirement for a minimum of 2 days each week for the duration of the course.
Progression
Accelerated progression onto a relevant top up degree course is possible followed by a PGCE or employment in a range of careers in Education, Health, Social care or Early years.
