The public services industry is very diverse, it includes the armed forces and emergency services such as the Police Force or Fire Brigade, as well as encompassing security organisations, the Prison Services, HM Customs and Excise, and more. It's the perfect choice for those considering a career in any of the uniformed services at officer or technical trade level.

Our courses have a practical emphasis and are taught by ex-uniformed public service staff with programmes specifically designed to develop a range of key skills which aim to prepare learners for employment in the uniformed public services.

This course is taught at our Middleton campus, located in Middleton, Greater Manchester.
Qualifications
NCFE Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Public Services
Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs grade D or above to include English and Mathematics.
If you have not attained GCSE grades 4-9 in English and Maths you will automatically be enrolled in classes to work towards these qualifications at an appropriate level to suit your ability.
Details
A mixture of units to meet the guided learning hours recommended to gain this qualification. The course has practical and theory assessments plus two external exams.

You will be expected to join our FREE gym and take part in extra curriculum activities such as voluntary work and local sporting activities.
Work Experience
There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course however, you will obtain the skills and knowledge that you need in order to progress into a career in the Public Services.
Progression
Upon completion of this course, you can progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services.
Alternatively, if you think it's time to enter employment, there is a range of possible careers you can pursue such as: Army, Navy, RAF, Royal Marines, Fire and Rescue Services and Police, Public Services Sector, or an Apprenticeship.
