Course Description

If you’ve always dreamed about working with animals and nursing them in their time of need, then this course is perfect for you!

It’s taught at our Middleton Campus located in Greater Manchester. Under the guidance of expert tutors who have worked in zoos across the world, you’ll have the amazing opportunity to get hands-on experience with some of the planet’s most rare and wonderful wildlife.

We home over 700 animals, many of which are categorised as endangered species. Just some of the unique creatures you’ll learn about and care for include wallabies, pink flamingos, meerkats, potoroos and many more!

Every day has the potential to be an adventure. You’ll sometimes find yourself working indoors with exotic reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish in our dedicated treatment rooms, whereas on other days you’ll be in the great outdoors as you work from our vast animal enclosures. It’s here where you’ll also find our Tropical House.

This Level 2 qualification will provide you with the information and skills required to play a valuable supporting role to qualified veterinary staff. You’ll also be trained to assist owners in the correct management of their companion animals.
