Want to get started in the hospitality industry or just improve your Cooking skills? You might want to work as a chef, kitchen assistant, waitress or customer service provider. A Certificate in Hospitality is for anyone new to hospitality work. You probably won't have any experience. This qualification develops independent learning, in skills and knowledge required for successful employment or progression in the Hospitality and Catering sector.
This course runs on a Wednesday from 10am-3pm for 15 weeks. Course cost is £225.
Level 1 Certificate in General Cookery
There are no formal entry requirements. Learners would be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and have a desire to learn.
This course runs on a Wednesday 10.00am until 3.00pm combining theory and practical skills underpinned by online testing and assessment of practical competence. Modules include Food safety, hygiene, Bread and dough products, basic preparation and cooking methods covering a range of dishes that you can use in the home as well as building a personal repertoire for work.
You don't need a job or work placement to take these qualifications - but if you have one you can often learn on the job.
Upon completion of this course learners can progress onto the Level 2 Culinary skills course.
