Course Description

There has never been greater focus or emphasis on the importance of mental health and wellbeing. Studying Counselling Courses will empower you to develop an understanding of the science and theory underpinning emotional welfare development. More and more of us are understanding how critical it is to take up the opportunities to work on our mental health and nurture our personal relationships.

This qualification aims to introduce you to the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and some of the approaches that underpin the use of these skills. Our counselling skills course could lead to employment or increase employability for those whose role is to support others in e.g. health and social care work, teaching and learning, advocacy and mediation, support and project work, or other helping roles.

This qualification also gives you the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately.
