This course prepares students for a range of careers in childcare at supervisory management level, can provide an appropriate pathway for gaining Early Years Teaching Status (EYTS) and is run in partnership with the University of Bolton.

Entry Requirements
80 UCAS tariff points which could include:
• 2 or more A Levels
• BTEC/Edexcel National Level 3
• Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Educator) or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education (Early Years Educator)
• GCSE English and maths at Grade C/4 or above
Mature students can apply with no formal qualifications but with a minimum of three years relevant industry experience. A formal literacy diagnostic and comprehension assessment will be required to assess academic capability.

The course is made up of both compulsory modules, which all students undertake, and a specialist unit that enable you to study particular areas in depth.

Work Experience
Students not currently in employment, but with relevant work experience, will
undertake placements during the course.
Progression
Accelerated progression onto a relevant degree course is possible. Certain universities may give you exemption from units within related degree courses.
