Meet the Lecturers

Sarah Godding: Sarah has been riding and working with horses for over 25 years and has taught at a Riding school for over 15 years. She has taught many people to care and ride horses and enjoys seeing her rider's progress. This encouraged her to go back to college and achieve her teaching qualifications to allow her to teach in FE.

On leaving school Sarah decided to study Beauty therapy alongside her training for her BHS stages and now teaches both Beauty Therapy and Equine Care at Hopwood Hall College.

She gained experience in various areas of the Equine industry, including working with ex racehorses for a local charity, Volunteering as a judge at local shows, Competing in a variety of events and a Groom for a number of local eventers. Each experience has enabled her to develop and refine her skills in caring, handling and riding horses.

Sarah has owned her own horses and has taken part in fun rides, events, clinics and shows. Through owning her own horses, Sarah learnt the value of perseverance, determination, hard work and how to deal with different situations and challenges.
