This level 3 course is for young vibrant people who want to establish themselves within a professional position, with a level of responsibility to the business and its stakeholders. This may be within the reigns of management leading to a good salary & career progression opportunities. This course is also for young people who are a little unsure of what pathway to study. Business will provide all learners with the employability skills required to work in all industries, understanding how and why business decisions are made, therefore making it easier to be selective in their own career choices once they have completed at least 1 year of study.
You’ll need to have a willingness to explore new ideas and an ability to communicate ideas effectively. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities, often with businesses in the local community.
Due to the range of business areas covered it can help those wishing to go onto higher education to choose the university degree they may wish to pursue or specialise in e.g. Marketing, Finance and Human Resources.
Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Business - Year 1
In order to begin this course students are required to achieve 4 GCSEs grade C/4 or above to include English and Mathematics. BTEC Level 2 qualifications, NVQ Level 2 or VRQ Level 2 qualifications are also accepted.
This course is taught by a mixture of individual and group work sessions to demonstrate understanding of key business principles.
