The Creative Industries are incredibly exciting, with many different job roles and opportunities on offer. Here at Hopwood Hall College, we will provide you with a strong visual and creative base as well as access to a range of well-equipped workshops. The Level 3 course provides opportunities for the exploration of a range of Art and Design disciplines, promoting personal development and experimentation.
Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design
4 GCSEs grade C/4 or above to include English and mathematics
The Level 3 course is a two year study programme where you will learn essential skills needed to work in creative industry and study at a higher level.
Topics on this course include:
- Textile Design
- Digital Photography
- Photographic Screen Printing
- Fabric Manipulation
- Mixed Media
We also offer a range of educational trips to enhance the learning experience, including; a residential trip to London, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Liverpool Tate Gallery, Crosby Beach and Manchester Art Galleries.
There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course. However, students gain the skills and knowledge needed to further study and for future employment. This is carried out through the completion of live briefs and local/national competitions.
Upon completion of
this course, students progress onto HE degree courses in a variety of
disciplines or they can go into employment or apprenticeships via Training at
Hopwood. We have 100% success at placing our learners on their desired pathway.
