Learners require GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or Level 2 Diploma with GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C
Public Services are at the very heart of our community and those who pursue a career within one of the uniformed services will be fulfilling a vital role in society. Our courses have a practical emphasis and are taught by ex-uniformed public service staff with programmes specifically designed to develop a range of key skills which aim to prepare learners for employment in the uniformed public services.

There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course however, students obtain the skills and knowledge that they need in order to progress into a career in the Public Services.
Upon completion of this course, students have a number of options to choose from. If they wish to continue their studies, this course provides UCAS points in the range of 120-360 – which can help with entry to higher education or provide enough on its own depending on the degree/course chosen and institution. For other students, it will be time to enter employment with possible careers such as: Army, Navy, RAF, Royal Marines, Fire and Rescue Services and Police, public services sector, apprenticeship
